Banking

This should be one of the first things you set up, in order to get any payments from Concordia. This is often tricky because you need a permanent address to open a bank account.

If you have already signed your lease, you can probably use that as proof of address (check with your bank).

If you are staying with friends while you find where to live, you could use a letter from your friend and their Hydro Quebec bill as proof of address.

Required documents (depends on the bank):

• Proof of address

• ID (could be your passport)

• Student ID (if you wish to open a student account)
