Social Insurance Number (SIN)

If you have a TA contract or similar, you need a Social Insurance number.

At the beginning of each year, Concordia’s ISO organizes a few days where you can get this number on campus. But be sure to schedule a lot of time to wait, because lots of other new students are getting theirs at the same time.

Required Documents:

• Contract: your work contract cannot have an earlier start date than your study permit (this would only happen if you arrive to Canada after the start of the semester)

• Study permit

• Passport
