Neighbourhoods

Here are some of the neighbourhoods and streets where lab members have lived and recommend.

Cote-des-Neiges: it's a student area with great diverse food, bars, etc. You would need to take the bus to Loyola, but live close to the metro.

Monkland street: there are cute shops and restaurants, it's close to campus and close(-ish) to Metro station.

St. Henri/Pointe Saint Charles: it is in biking distance. It's a Hipster area that can be more pricey unless you find a gem. Atwater market is nearby and it's great for walks on the Canal!

Plateau: it's far from campus, but has great cafes, bars, parks etc.

Verdun: it's far-ish from campus/downtown, but it's cheap, has great cafes, and is excellent for walks on the river.
