§ Comprehensive Vocab - English Vocab Size: Number of English words child understands
§ Comprehensive Vocab – French Vocab Size: Number of French words child understands
§ Comprehensive Vocab - Total Vocab Size: Sum of English and French words child understands – Only relevant for infants who have both an English and French CDI completed. For babies with only 1 CDI completed this number will match the vocab size for English or French Vocab Size.
§ Comprehensive Vocab - Total number of TEs (translation equivalents): Number of labels that child understands in both English and French (e.g., if child understands both dog and chien that counts as 1 TE as opposed to if they only understood dog or only understood chien) – Only relevant/available for infants who have both an English and French CDI completed
§ Comprehensive Vocab – Conceptual Vocabulary Size: Number of concepts the child understands, calculated by subtracting the number of TEs child understands from the total comprehensive vocabulary (i.e., Total Vocab Size – Total Number of TEs). For instance if the child understands both dog and chien then they understand two words (i.e., number reflected in total vocab size) but only one concept (i.e., number reflected in TE count) – Only relevant for infants who have both an English and French CDI.
